Newly formed Indie Label focuses on Latin Hip-Hop/Salsa/Merengue

New York, NY January 28 2004-—A newly formed independent Record Label has opened its doors this year. This Label based out of New York will focus on new and veteran artists, primarily from the New York/New jersey latin hip-hop and tropical music scene.

2 Locos Entertainment, pronounced (Dos Locos) will release its debut projects this spring by "KA.RU" and "Carmencita", two of the more exciting established acts in the "Merengue" and "Spanish Hip-Hop" scene respectively. Other Artist projects in the queue include a reggaeton compilation and a salsa album.

"Our releases will feature a creative mix of established acts and musicians as well as some of the more exciting up and coming acts coming out of the vibrant Latin club scene", Said 2 Locos co-owner Fernando J. Quinones

He said the New York based label has received a few offers and will be deciding upon which distribution company will handle U.S. and Puerto Rico as well as the other leading markets such as the Dominican Republic, Mexico and abroad.

2 Locos is co-owned and operated by Sunset Park Entertainment's President/CEO Fernando J. Quinones and Oye Records Owner Edwin Ramirez. The day to day business dealings will be managed by Fernando J. Quinones while Edwin Ramirez will head the creative department of the label.
