David Sanborn Inside Cd Review By Clyde Lee Dennis David Sanborn, the richly talented Smooth Jazz artist has released his latest CD titled Inside and Wow! It's good.
I wish it weren’t the case but it’s not everyday that I get a CD from an artist that I can just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. There is usually a song or two that I just can’t force myself to get through. Not at all the case with Inside. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.
Inside has a pleasantly varied, mix of 10 tracks that are very well written songs by this clearly superb artist. With many of the songs displaying a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a really great listen. Clearly drawing from what I can only imagine are life experiences. At different points touching on the most real emotions of love, and the pain of failed relationships can certainly be heard.
One of the nicer things about a CD like this is with this level of talent even if Smooth Jazz isn’t your favorite genre you still can’t help but appreciate the greatness of the artist.
If you're even mildly into Smooth Jazz you'll enjoy this CD. Overall Inside is a great release. I give it my double thumbs up. You will not be disappointed with one single track.
While the entire CD is outstanding some of my favorites are track 2, Daydreaming, track 4 Brother Ray, and track 5, When I'm with You.
My SmoothLee Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 9, Ain't No Sunshine featuring Sting. Outstanding rendition from these two giants!

Deusisme @ 11/23/2008 12:48 PM : Re: What are the best John lennon albums
I own those two also. Like you, I wish I had more but I'm pretty undecided what to get next for myself.
The other albums by John I own were the ones he did with Yoko, which are Double Fantasy and Milk And Honey. Double Fantasy is just great and I think some of the Yoko songs are pretty good. Milk And Honey was released four years after John's passing. This was material that was complete and Yoko put it out. I have the 2001 reissue (the album before then was out of print) and it's alright overall. John's songs are nice while Yoko's are not so good. There is a 22 track of the last interview that John did hours before his death and I find it very interesting.
You know a movie is going to be bad when these are the "memorable" quotes:

well known romanization is KazaKhstan. When you search country, mostly unknown country you will search by "well known name".
I believe Kaza-c-hstan - is not real romanization
ch - means symbol ? for Kazakhstan romanizations (also Russian too)Roy_Pearl @ 11/23/2008 12:47 PM : Re: What are the best John lennon albums Most of Lennon's solo work never reaches the amazing heights of Plastic Ono Band. It pretty much stands alone in his catalogue. Other than that, Imagine probably comes next. Mind Games and Walls & Bridges each have some great stuff along with some dreck. And Rock and Roll is mostly a bore, although his versions of "Stand By Me" and "Ain't That A Shame" are pretty fine.
There's also a single disc distillation of the Ono-curated boxset called Wonsaponatime, that has some great outtakes and unreleased stuff. It's probably the disc to get after Imagine. Also, during the "lost weekend" era, Lennon produced Harry Nilsson's Pussycats, and it's closer in tone to POB than anything other Lennon album.
I can't help you with the stuff he did with Elephant's Memory.dallasol @ 11/23/2008 12:44 PM : Re: What are the best John lennon albums Stick with what you've got.
