Hard Rock Cafe turned "Inside Out"
Texas heavy hitters on the film and music scenes, Reel FX, MPS, Video Post & Transfer, Fat Lady Sings Film Co, Dingo Gold Records and the band Tin Henry have completed the video for Tin Henry's song "Inside Out". The song is the first track released off the band's newest album, "Twisted". The video concept was developed and written by Fat Lady Sings and local Academy Award nominated filmmakers Lance Larson and Jim Shelton.
In the "Inside Out" Video, a young woman played by LA actress Hallie Cameron (The Man Who Wasn't There, Bad Santa) leaps to her demise from a downtown building (The Historic Kirby Building / Downtown Dallas) into a busy intersection where a chain reaction of car crashes explosions and mass destruction ensues. That is, until her eyes open and the entire event takes place in reverse order. When she is standing atop the building the second time, she chooses not to jump.
Producer Brandye James feels the concept will resonate with the MTV audience. " The concept is extremely anti-suicide. People make decisions every day that have a trickle down effect and touch many people, turning their lives "inside out", often without realizing it. We hope that the video will help people to think about the consequences of their actions and make the right choices".
The video is heavily visually effects driven and the group has teamed with Reel FX Production Studios (Spy Kids 2) to make the jump come to life. Dingo Gold President Karl Wighaman feels the time and quality put in by those involved will help propel the band to even greater heights. "We have already received tremendous feedback from the video music networks who have already agreed to place the video into rotation. Are hope is this will provide similar results as Kid Rock whose first video pushed heavy sales of his CD in record stores. Our video will be the talk of the 2003 VMA's".
LA screenwriter and fellow Texan David Elliot (The Watcher) who is currently penning a script for Ron Howard and Brian Grazer's Imagine Entertainment will play a weary cab driver. "The chance to come to Texas (home) and work on something this high concept with my great friends is a real treat. If everyone in LA knew of the caliber of film and musical talent in Texas, I think they'd all leave".
The Hard Rock Café is located at 502 Texas Ave in downtown Houston next to the Verizon Theatre. All ages are invited with CD giveaways and other prizes. The music video presentation will be Saturday December 21st at 11:00pm.
